Dr. Maureen Austin
Dr. Austin joined Town and Country in 2004 and became an owner in 2020. She graduated with high honor from Aquinas College before attending Michigan State University College of Veterinary medicine graduating in 2004 in the top 5% of her class. Dr. Austin loves not only the art and practice of veterinary medicine but also helping the practice work together as a strong team. She brings to the practice strong surgical skills as well as being a very good clinical diagnostician. Dr. Austin is a very proud member of the Greenville community and feels lucky that she can serve her fellow citizens by nurturing the human-animal bond. She and her husband have three children who keep her very busy. She enjoys serving on one of our local PTOs and when she can find time loves getting cuddles from her dogs and cats, baking, cooking, and yoga. Dr. Michelle (Shelley) Kemperman
Dr. Kemperman grew up on the east side of the state and received her undergraduate degree at Siena Heights College. She graduated from the veterinary college at Michigan State University in 1992 and has worked at Town and Country Animal Clinic since then. Dr. Kemperman has special interest in internal medicine and the relationship between pets and their people. She and her husband live in Greenville, have a fabulous daughter in college, and probably pamper their cats too much! Dr. Rebecca Jasinski
Dr. Becca graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2013 after completing a Bachelor of Science from Michigan State University. Dr. Becca is a true Spartan and returned to MSU to complete her final clinical year of veterinary school. She started her career in the Petoskey area before joining Town and Country in 2020. She enjoys many aspects of her career and has particular interests in behavioral medicine, pain management, and internal medicine. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children as well as a household full of pets. When Dr. Becca is not busy caring for her home zoo you can typically find her enjoying the outdoors or reading a good book. Dr. Shannon Klein
Dr. Klein was raised in NE Grand Rapids and is the oldest of 8 children. She received her Bachelor's degree in Findlay, OH before graduating from Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. Dr. Klein started her career in emergency and critical care, but after almost 10 years transitioned to general practice. She has a special interest in internal medicine, particularly the delicate balance between the organ systems and body hormones. In her free time, Dr. Klein loves to go camping with her husband and two sons. She also loves to challenge herself with a new workout or taking time to curl up with a good book. Dr. Klein and her family have a household filled with pets, including exotic species like snakes, lizards and even a tarantula! Taylor Cross, LVT, Practice Manager
Taylor started with us in November of 2020. She graduated from Baker College in May of 2019. In addition to being a very skilled veterinary nurse, Taylor helps serve our clients with a great positive attitude and attention to detail. She has four Spaniels and three cats. She enjoys hiking, gardening, camping, and reading. Her favorite part about our clinic is the family like atmosphere and the quality of medicine we provide. Kristin Krum, LVT, Lead Licensed Technician
Kristin joined our team in early 2019. She graduated from Baker College's veterinary technician program in 2015. Kristin enjoys phlebotomy and dentistry. The veterinarians are constantly blown away by her amazing dental radiography skills. Kristin also loves learning about new diseases. In her time away from the clinic she likes spending time with her family and her adorable Pitbull. Samantha Gauthier, LVT, CCRVN
Samantha joined our team in March of 2021. She graduated from Baker College with an Associate's Degree in Veterinary Technology. In 2018 she pursued her passion for rehabilitation and graduated from the Canine Rehabilitation Institute to become a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Veterinary Nurse. She lives with her husband, three cats, two dogs, and horse. In her free time she loves competing in field trials with her Brittanys. Lexie Schuiling, LVT
Lexie started with us as an intern while in the Baker College of Muskegon Veterinary Technician program in March of 2023. She officially joined our team after graduating and has since passed the national licensing exam. She and her fiancé have one dog, a poodle mix named Theodore! She enjoys nature and going for quad rides! Her favorite part of the clinic is the positive atmosphere and awesome team we have! Tasha Zahm, Lead Client Services Representative
Tasha has been a front desk Client Service Representative at our clinic since 2017. She takes great pride in her job and enjoys meeting new people. She lives in the Belding area with her husband, daughter, and son. They share their home with two dogs, one cat, and a bearded dragon. Outside of work Tasha likes to stay active. She and her family enjoy spending time together outdoors participating in sports, walking and kayaking. In her spare time Tasha also enjoys crafting and quality time with friends and family. |
